Doctor at Mayo Clinic?
Hello! I am new to this group. Anyway, I have been diagnosed with autoimmune disease but unspecified. While, first I was told I had a "soft lupus" diagnosis a year ago then I was told that it's too early to say lupus, but could develop into that, and later my rheumatologist would use the work lupus as if I had it, so I have no clue right now. Anyway, I am wondering if this is something I could go to Mayo for a second opinion to hopefully get some answers. I just feel like since the initial testing not much is followed up on. Any ideas? Does anyone here go to the Mayo or will they likely not accept me as it's not serious at this point? Any advice would be appreciated!! Thanks! 🙂

Hi @tarahbeth, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. Mayo Clinic would be an excellent choice to get a diagnosis if possible. If you would like get a second opinion from Mayo Clinic, you can find the contact information for the Minnesota, Arizona and Florida campuses here http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63.
Is is possible to get a referral from your doctor? Even if you are not able to get a referral from your doctor you can call for yourself. There are some good tips on seeing a new specialist or doctor by @roch here:

Keep being an advocate for your health, ask questions and learn as much as you can about your health conditions. If it's serious to you, I would think a doctor would be concerned or at least have a good explanation that you can understand. Are you able to share a little more about your symptoms?
@tarahbeth here is some more information on Mayo Clinic's website that may provide some more insight or information on conditions associated with lupus that might be helpful for you.

Thank you so much for the great advice and information. I have alopecia, scaly rashes like eczema, fatigue, deep bone/muscle ache, burning eyes, low white count, high ana, at times my c3 or4 is low, lately I've had a lot of stomach pain/ bloating, lately I've also had trouble holding on to anything,
Like really clumsy and at times very easy bruising. The bruising has gotten a lot better since I've been on plaquenil though.
