RJ, I too had a cellebellar stroke, right side. I was given a med for the vertigo, or dizziness. Mine did improve but my balance is still a challenge. You could enquire. I had many deficits, not just dizziness, and most are improved, but I'm not close to what I was. Sure hope he improves. Dizziness is unpleasant and disconcerting, more so for one with dementia!
