Never force yourself to eat anything you have tried and don’t like even if it is good for you. I tried the ones in tomato sauce and hated them....I like them either in olive oil, water or there was a Mediterranean one with black olives that was good and I am not an olive lover. I accidentally bought a lot of canned anchovies at Costco but haven’t tasted them yet. Honestly I could eat the entire can of sardines in one sitting with a few crackers, tomatoes and cheese for lunch. It’s nice to love something that is actually good for you....balances out the not so good things.

Made braised red cabbage this morning...the aroma is wonderful....could eat that anytime. I know there are a lot of recipes but my favorite uses the sugar and white wine vinegar and a little butter. Eat it cold or room temperature with some goat cheese.

Okay okay I got it but that's not to say I'll remember it. I suppose my other descriptive terms are henceforth prohibited.

@imallears, I've tried the canned anchovies but found the ones I bought way too salty.

As for cabbage, it has become a more frequent purchase on my grocery list and use it in many ways, both raw and cooked. Soups, sautees, slaws, are easy but I've not tried your braised recipe. Think I'll give it a try!
