@gingerw, As another who likes to cook but doesn't enjoy the clean-up, I do much as others have written. Have to say that the crockpot has become my most favorite and weekly used kitchen aid. However, must add that I've warned all not to ever gift me with a breadmaker because I would over use it to the land of forever obesity! lol Have a few relative easy bread recipes that I make from time-to-time but have to apply hard-to-enforce restraints when it comes to my love of all things using dough in any form. Aren't true confessions supposed to be "good for soul"? Smiles to all.

Oh my who doesn’t love bread, bread, bread. I truly love the crusty Italian loaf....take a good slice, toast it, rub it with fresh garlic and drizzle good olive oil over it. I have had that with cheese and either anchovies or sardines and sliced tomato on the side for dinner...with vino of course.....and chocolate for dessert. I like good crusty bread without butter. It’s the salt in the bread that makes it so tasty. I have tasted bread without salt.....tastes like styrofoam....if I knew what that tasted like.

Our Publix will cut a loaf in half for you. I prefer to slice my own on the rare occasions I eat it. I remember baking my own....good lord...it didn’t last the day. My daughter donated her bread maker years ago. Ah bread..it’s amazing.
