WOW!! 300,000 miles. I'll turn back to dust long before I could accomplish that feat.
Actually, what I want is a Tesla but don't want to pay for it. I'll probably buy the Camry but am a bit concerned about long-trip comfort. I go to LA & Mt Shasta occasionally both are about 300 miles. But the majority of driving is around town. I'd like a larger car though. A Lincoln would be nice but I'm leary of Ford and don't want to pay for one of those either. My friend who cooks for me is on her second Honda and no problems. Decisions, decisions

Jake - PC (pre-Covid) we traveled - at least 20-25 thousand miles a year - plus volunteer activities kept me on the move 3-4 days a week when home. I checked odometers the other day, and we drove just 10,000 miles in 2020, including a 1500 mile trip from our Texas home to our Minnesota home. How much has changed in one year! I can't wait to pack the car and go again. We'll try a road trip in our new Subaru Outback when the day comes. In 7 months it has gone less than 1000 miles.

As for food, I made a trip to our local butcher/bakery/produce mart yesterday. Bonanza- they had fresh asparagus, cauliflower, Texas red grapefruit and other goodies on sale. Dinner last night was baked cauliflower with an au gratin coating, asparagus baked with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and fruit salad. After I read the morning papers, I'll be putting on a pot of split pea soup and ham hocks, loaded with other veggies. Then out to shovel 4" of fluffy snow before the games. And a big pan of fudge brownies for dessert.

Have fun choosing your car. You'll be amazed by all the new safety features.

@jakedduck1 Comfort is very important to me too on long trips. Look for a used Acura. Mine, a CL, was the most comfortable car I have ever driven, it was like sitting in an easy chair. I regretted trading it in immediately after I did it but my husband thought it was at an age where we would start running into problems.
