Oh yes Schwann’s, they have some very good meals, not that I’m all that particular. I understand their spareribs are very good and have two slabs in the freezer but have lacked the inclination to cook them. I’ve had the roasts, very good. I always try and get the things that can be cooked in the microwave for safety reasons. I did recently bite the bullet and made some stir fry using some Schwann’s steaks. It was a traumatic experience but I survived.
I have more pressing problems than food at the moment however. I’m looking for a car after I cracked mine up December 30 in Mount Shasta. I was on my way to the hospital ER when I hit a patch of ice & hit a curb. I have since been told my car was totaled because of the way my wheels were turned when I hit the curb. I loved my car. I’d like to have another one just like it but that model is no longer made. My brothers had a Lexus since 2011 and hasn’t had any repairs yet, only routine maintenance. He recommends I get a Toyota Camry or a Lexus I’m going to check out a Camry XLE later today. Anyone out there that's vehicle savvy or anyone who had good luck with a particular type of car?
Jake

Oh, Jake - Ugh! So sorry about your car. I hope you are doing okay now.
I hate car shopping. I will say that I am a Toyota fan - currently a Prius, earlier a RAV-4 (now available in a hybrid) and a Sienna van. We find them reliable and comfortable. My current Prius has 65000 miles and hasn't seen the shop except for routing maintenance and a set of tires - I think in 300,000 miles with Toyota, we never had a major issue. My daughter loves her Nissan Ultima - also trouble-free for the last 4 years, and my best friend is very happy with her Honda CRV, and my brother with his HRV. There seem to be a lot of great choices out there.
What a coincidence though - I too had a crash on December 30th - my car slid into our daughter's in the icy driveway - what looked like scratches on two fenders is costing over $3000 to repair!

@jakedduck1 I'm sorry about your car, that can be so unsettling. I had 3 Volvos in a row totalled, none of which were my fault - I was hit the first time, my son went into a tree with the second one, and my daughter missed a stopped sign with the third one. When I went to replace the third one I switched to Toyota, I felt l was jinxed with Volvos. My husband had Toyotas before me and he put incredible mileage on them so I have to agree with @Erinmfs and @imallears, you can't go wrong with Toyota. He had 250,000 on one of his Toyotas.
I currently have a Honda CRV but I hate it for long drives, it's not comfortable. I found the same with the Camry I had after my last Volvo, but if most of your driving is short trips then that's not an issue.
Good luck with finding a car you enjoy driving. If you're looking for comfort though, the Acuras are excellent. I had a coupe for a while and loved it and my husband is currently driving an Acura.
