Fideo noodles are short strands of pasta that can be found either in the Mexican foods section or pasta/spaghetti section of your local grocery store. The brand name I use here in the Southwest is called La Moderna. Note/correction on my Sopa recipe use only half package of noodles.

I babysit and make this recipe for the children which is easier for them to swallow.

Thanks for the info. Now I will look for Fideo noodles when I shop. I like pasta, I buy a lot of the AMYS frozen dinners that are pasta.
Are you in Arizona, or New Mexico? Some areas of the country have good Hispanic markets.
Parts of California has a market called VALLEYARTA, they carry some Hispanic foods, their produce is good.
Some of the packages are all in Spanish, so a little difficult to read, as my Spanish is not that great.
I do speak Spanish to my Gardner’s, and they answer in English.
Take care
