@annabannana . Great question. Is it ever possible to just have one thing wrong with us at a time?
There are no special cancer diets unless there is a restriction for treatments or medicines. Your husband should eat as healthy as he can. Fresh food, homemade food as much as possible .
Because he's having so much difficulty I would suggest making an appointment with a nutritionist. How does this sound? .what kind of cancer does he have?

melanoma, he had a tumor on his kidney that was removed, has had other skin cancer (basal), had his prostate removed, has rheumatoid arthritis, had shingles in the fall, and is currently healing from pneumonia. It's just been one thing after another over these past 4 1/2 years. I tried at 1st to be an expert on nutritional do's and don'ts, but learned at the time that I was better to support him emotionally and not be the "food police!" Now though, he's asking for help and I don't know where to go for good guidance with his multiple challenges. I'll definitely suggest he try to see a nutritionist when he's there for his next visit in the spring.
