Hi,
Crust on shepherds pie sounds like a pot pie. Mashed potatoes is a must, I agree . Leonard could always put prepared mashed potatoes on top instead of doing them himself. I’m half English....grew up on shepherds pie and you can make it healthy too.

@imallears I actually never heard of it until I was married! I made a recipe from a cookbook that was named something else and my step-son loved it and said it was like the “shepherds pie” they had at school. That recipe had ground beef and corn but after making it once I customized it.

Yep, I guess your right. Oh well, foods food (Well maybe not the kind you eat, but generally) what’s in a name.
