Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More
Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.
Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.
Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!
I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

Omg- I know you are. Please research everything that you can and checkout your doctor's to find out how often they do this

The main reason I try and limit the pain pills is to hopefully keep my liver and kidneys in good working order. I’ve been on so many meds for so long, mostly seizure and narcotics meds who knows how many more it will take to tip the scale. That’s the main reason I stopped Fentanyl.

Toast recipes, I love them, @merpreb! I've always like cottage cheese on toast with jam, but some of these other varieties of cottage cheese on toast look wonderful. Thanks!
@merpreb Oh I will I'm going to see my pain Dr tomorrow and discuss it more with him
@hopeful33250 Goodmorning Have you tried this cream cheese and raspberry ham on bagels or English muffin, delicious I never have tried cottage cheese on toast sounds good
@hopeful33250 He has more than she has, plus he exercises a lot. He is very fit. My daughter swims at a club close to her, she is an avid swimmer, but she doesn't do any exercises involving weight which is something I wish she would do. She is semi-vegetarian so I am sure that helps with calories, and although she enjoys a glass of wine when she goes out for dinner she drinks little otherwise. Alcohol adds a lot of calories.

@jakedduck1 @merpreb I love potatoes but I eat them very infrequently due to the carbs. I will never eat something prepared like onion soup mix due to the high sodium level. I am supposed to keep my sodium to 2000 mg a day but I aim for 1500 because I find that I get sausage fingers and chubby feet if I go higher.

@lioness Cream cheese always sets me up for digestive issues, however, cottage cheese does not. I love to put strawberry jam on toast and then top it off with cottage cheese. It's sort of like a danish (if you close your eyes and have a good imagination).
