@jakedduck1 - Oh my goodness, so many replacements and your back too? I hate it when there's more than one thing ailing me. I get depressed and feel hopeless. I really think, Jake, that it's time to do something about your pain so that you can live a more productive life. You really don't want to just settle for not being able to move, do you?

I agree with you about managing the pain. It’s a hard decision to make about relying on pain meds but I think there comes a point in your life , and depending on your age, when it is a necessary evil. Also hard to decide about surgeries. I worked for an orthopedic practice for nearly 20 years and have seen the good and bad about joint replacements and back surgeries and would probably only go that route if pain couldn’t be managed. Difficult to say and there are no guarantees. But quality of life is so important. Food for thought.

Problem is surgery isn’t guaranteed and my bone man said Don’t let anyone here touch you. Others have refused to operate. A doctor in San Francisco wants to operate but said my Range of Motion will be limited, more so than it already is. Another said he wasn’t sure if my pain would be much better. I don’t think it’s worth taking a chance. As long as I can deal with it that’s fine. I can function enough to get by.
