@lioness and @imallears, I can't believe I never thought of that before! What type of gloves do you use? I'm thinking that the vinyl dishwashing gloves could get nicked as well.

@hopeful33250 I wear just a heavy duty glove like mechanics do when I feel I'm to close I stop but I like Mary,s glove I,ll have to look for one as mine is bulky and I get a hot hand

Good morning,
The glove I use is made for grating so you don’t grate your fingers. I only use one . When I’m grating it’s on the hand that actually grates. When I’m slicing , it’s on the hand holding the veggie. I use it if I’m slicing very thin pieces. You can find it in any store where the kitchen gadgets are...usually near graters. They’re washable and durable.
