What you said about control is so important especially when it comes to snacks and sweet things. You know how the first bite of chocolate or cheesecake tastes so o so heavenly? The more you eat of that particular food, the less it tastes as good as the first bite. So have a couple spoonfuls of your favorite ice cream and put the rest away, or one square of chocolate or just a bite or two of chocolate cake. You’ll appreciate the taste more than if you wound up eating the whole thing...Really

Sorry to disagree Mary but I savor every bite as though each where the first and the last will never come when it comes to cheesecake and chocolate Heavenly is right. I had a candy bar yesterday and it was so amazingly wonderful I was in love. I took tiny bites to make it last but even the memory of them are sensational.
Good idea though. I couldn't handle just a bite or two. You have amazing willpower.

@imallears @lioness It must be fortunate for me that I don't really like chocolate! My older sister is a chocolate addict; we always laugh and attribute it to the fact that she's a vegetarian and I tell her the chocolate is providing some missing nutrients LOL. It's good I don't like chocolate because that's not a good thing on the renal diet anyways.
