@lioness My son is really a good cook too but these days he's getting his fiancee to do more of it. He worked in the kitchen of a four star restaurant for a while and went from salads to sautés, so he did develop experience there. He really learned from all of the different jobs he had along the way. He learned a lot about people when he was a waiter, the last job was at the Beverly Hills hotel, The Polo Lounge. That was a fun job for him. He was even selected by the movie crew making "Bewitched" to be an extra in the movie without him looking to be! He's serving drinks in the movie.
I really do enjoy it when he is home and helps out a lot in the kitchen. My daughter and her husband join in when they are all here, so life becomes much easier for me.
