Recipes, Food Tips, Healthy Eating & More
Some of the members of the Gratitude Discussion Group were interested in having a place to share recipes and food ideas. I’m hoping that we can use this thread as a place to have that kind of discussion. I’d love to hear your ideas for quick meals, comfort food, healthy snacks, and more.
Personally, I’ve just been through a bad reaction to one of my medications that left me with a very queasy stomach. I would love to hear ideas – or recipes – that might be used when you need to get something on your stomach, but don’t want to overdo it.
Hopefully, this thread will even be a place where we can share recipes for special treats and yummy rewards. It doesn’t always have to be healthy!
I’d love to hear from members who have been part of other discussions AND from new members who have good ideas, recipes and food tips to share. I’m excited to see who might start us off here with an awesome food suggestion!

@jakedduck1 when you want to roast a beef roast or chicken
@lioness
Thank you Linda. It’s good to know but I will probably cook meat in my air fryer from now on.

@jakedduck1 A roaster makes things so much juicer
Hi @jakedduck1 Another time I use the roast setting is when I am cooking a pork tenderloin. Seems to keep them juicer than just on bake. I often hit the broil setting at the end to add some nice crispiness to them. Cheers and good eating!
All- It makes great sauce for shrimp cocktail too!
@contentandwell- hahaha. It was a joke. Like something would give me a stroke. I guess it bombed
When it comes to healthy eating mayhap there are times we all need to feel that artery seize. A thought.
For me the smell of someone frying something is enough.
@merpreb Sorry! I thought you were serious. I tend to be somewhat literal, just ask my husband. I drive him crazy, never getting what he considers to be a joke!
My daughter had a TIA about 12 years ago so I take them fairly seriously.

@lioness Glad to hear that you get to bake a cake with him and go to his drum solo as well. What fun!
Will you update us all when you get back?
@contentandwell Yes, I know what you mean about the mainstays not being around anymore. Here in the Detroit area, they used to make a great spicy mustard with the brand name of Pelican. It was dark, must have had horseradish and other spices. When company would come from out of town, they would visit the place where it was made and buy a case. Then they would call and have a case sent to them in New Hampshire. It was excellent for those who like spicy mustard.
