@parus and @lioness

Well, I just started Vestibular therapy. Here is how it went the first day (which was the evaluation). She explained that I have vertigo as well as something called nystagmus (that is where the eyes move a lot and you get a sore shoulder/neck from trying to keep your head/eyes quiet). (This explanation is mine, not a medical one of course so don't quote me to any medical professional.) .

The first exercise I was given was called "Standing Gaze Stabilization with Head Rotation." You move your head back and forth and then up and down keeping your eyes on your thumb (stationary) in front of you. The next one is called "Standing Gaze Stabilization with Head Nod." For this one, you are standing again with your thumb in front of you and nod your head up and down keeping your eyes focused on your thumb. The third one is "Seated Gaze Stabilization with Head Rotation and Horizontal Arm." The last one is called "Standing Gaze Stabilization with Head Nod and Vertical Arm Movement." I won't even begin to explain the last two, as I'm not really all that good at those yet. The day after I was very nauseous and called the doctor for some Zofran which helped a lot. Feel much better today. So, I'll keep with it. Let me know how you are doing, @lioness.
