Does anyone with AFIB NOT take blood thinners?

I took Xarelto for 6 mo after ablation doe. After 6 mo due to muscle pain, severe, the doctor installed a Linc in my chest (outpatient) to monitor for afib. So far no problems. Works well and no meds!!!!

I suppose it is hard for many people to tell they are in Afib or not. I do not see why a monitor should be required as I believe I can tell when it starts and stops. Any easy confirmation is checking pulse @ wrist for the non steady rythm AND watch my heart beat on my phone (Samsung - has heart monitor built in - same red light detect hospital uses for heart monitor).
