Awww you are so sweet!! No I’ll be going by myself and will see what happens. I’ve been continuing to struggle with certain vices that I know I need to get control of or there will be no point to seek out help from doctors etc
Gotta start taking way better care of myself honestly!!
I do thank you so much for your kind words it’s definitely a help!!
@cwilliamson77 there are definitely members here on Connect that get what you mean about getting certain vices under control. It's easier said than done, even when we know what the "right thing to do" is. You might find it helpful to connect with other members in the Addiction & Recovery group https://connect.mayoclinic.org/group/addiction-recovery/ It's a place where people encourage each other without judgement. I hope you'll check it out.
@racing212, You are in good hands at Mayo Rochester! I can see that they have a full schedule already prepared for you. I have always been amazed at how efficient they are, and how quickly the results are available.

Yes, it wears me out too, when I have my annual check ups there. The Rochester campus is beautiful, and I imagine the Jacksonville and Phoenix campuses are beautiful as well. <My husband and I travel by car and make it a 2 day trip from Kentucky. We always enjoy relaxing and people watching in the Ghonda Lobby between appointments. I'll bet it is pretty up there in September.
@adah I just came across this post and was not sure if the question was directed to me or someone else.
I don’t believe that sinus inflammation was considered, and the only CT I had was the one that confirmed cirrhosis. Due to also having low platelet counts I did have a bone marrow biopsy and some other test, I don’t recall what, but the two symptoms were not at that time considered to be associated with each other. My HE, not identified as being HE, was thought to be a neurological problem. Wrong of course.
