Has anyone bought Toe Socks?

Posted by lorirenee1 @lorirenee1, Feb 8, 2019

I have several pairs of toe socks because I have sensations of my toes being yanked, twisted, overlapped....I could go on and on. Anyway, all my toe socks are too severe. I almost feel like when I wear them I am in a cast. Does anyone own toe socks than help to align your toes normally but still feel gentle on the toes? This neuropathy is gruesome.
Thanks, Lorirenee, with unhappy toes

Hi @lorirenee1, I don't have toe socks but before I had to start wearing compression socks I was using bamboo thread socks. They are very soft, easy to put on and comfortable. I have hammer toes with my peripheral neuropathy and sometimes struggle putting on the compression socks because my big toe curls down some and always catches.

I didn't think to search but I thought I had seen them. The bamboo version may be softer and feel better.

Hi, how about gel-filled socks. Do those work?

Hi, @ramat14 - welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I see that you have asked about gel-filled socks. Wondering if you might share a bit more about yourself and your diagnosis? Are you looking to align your toes or to relieve pain?

Hi, I have peripheral neuropathy in the balls of my feet and in all my toes. My toes feel misaligned, they burn, stab, throb, feel very weak, and other things...toe socks sometimes relieve them, but sometimes feel too extreme. Always looking for suggestions, like all of us here. The best I have found is a CBD salve....

Hi @lisalucier. I am from Nigeria. My mum suffers from diabetes and was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy about 6 months ago. I was her primary caregiver up until a few months ago when I had to temporarily relocate to the UK for school. I'm always on the lookout for anything that helps relieve her pain.
