For me b-12 made things worse. Make sure you have your levels checked. To much b-12 can aggravate the nerves.

Hi @fbell330, That's interesting, I've never heard of B12 doing anything to aggrevate the nerves and have never seen any research or data showing it can be harmful. I know each of us are different in how we absorb different vitamins and minerals and that could account for problems or conditions. I am interested in learning more if you can point me to some references on why B12 made things worse for you. Thank you...John

Were you b12 deficient, insufficient or have pernicious anemia? Reversing out or startup symptom are common when one is deficient , especially if there’s neurological symptoms, therefore making you feel worse before you feel better.

Exactly. I went to urgent care because I had a cold. And the doctor asked what meds I’m taking which lead to why. He said - there’s an article he read that says B vitamins cause neuropathy. I’ve been taking B’s for many years. And I wonder if I’ve done this to myself. Idk. But not going to dwell. Moving forward. Needless to say I’ve stopped taking the B vitamins

I have heard a few people say treatment with b12 has made matters worse initially but this is short term and eventually improvements materialise. My b12 injections became effective within two days.

Not true?
