PCOS and constant body vibrating or pulsating
Something has changed in the last 2 months. I’m 43 and 49 weeks old, female . 5 ft 140lbs. I know I have PCOS. I had a cat rupture on ovary on Dec 2, only second time in life that’s happened. First time I was on invitro drugs. I know shake, people call it tremors but I don’t. I say vibrate or pulsate. It’s constant, sometime you can see it in my hands, legs, lips, body. Buts it’s constant not a twitch for several weeks. Mri was fine. Bad cholesterol is high, good cholesterol is low, blood pressure is 154/90, non fasting glucose 154 . Thyroid perfect, lipids perfect. A1c blood test 5.8. Any clue what’s going on??

@kmiller11205 Hi, and welcome to Connect.
Your symptoms sound unusual but sometimes symptoms that appear to be unrelated actually are. I know that from personal experience when I had NASH cirrhosis but it was not yet diagnosed. One of my symptoms was shaky hands. That was diagnosed initially as Essential Tremor, but it turned out to be from cirrhosis. None of your other symptoms sound anything like my symptoms though. It is possible that you have essential tremor, totally unrelated to your other symptoms. If so, that is a nuisance, but benign.
Have you consulted with a doctor? You definitely should. I was told by some doctors whom I know that generally doctors of internal medicine are better diagnosticians than family practice doctors so I would start there. That being said, my internist did not diagnose my cirrhosis, a neurologist did!
You mention A1c so I presume you have diabetes, well controlled. Most doctors of internal medicine can treat simple diabetes also, in case that is somehow contributing to your other symptoms.
I will be interested in hearing what the doctor says about your symptoms, I hope you are able to get an appointment soon.
JK
Thanks
No I don’t have diabetes, I have PCOS so insulin resistance goes with that and they were just checking but haven’t said diabetes yet. Thanks
@kmiller11205 Thanks. I was not familiar with PCOS so I just googled it. I saw that it makes a person more susceptible to diabetes so that's why they track A1c.
I hope your doctor can give you some help with this, it's miserable to not know what a problem is. If your doctor cannot I would seek a second opinion at a major medical center. Not doing that was my biggest regret when I went for a long time with no diagnosis.

Myoclonus and dystonia my be words you will wih to google. Loke at their dianosis and testing list. I am not sure if thymus light tremmors.
@hopeful33250 @cathy514 @jakedduck1 may have some input for you on the constant body vibrating and pulsing, @kmiller11205.
Hello, @kmiller11205,
I am sorry to hear about this problem you are having. I know how frustrating it is to have a problem that doctors cannot diagnose and therefore cannot treat. I'm sure you are looking for answers.
I have a few thoughts: Have you been seen by a neurologist who is a movement disorder specialist? If not, I would ask for a referral to one. They can be quite good at diagnosing problems with tremors and unwanted movements like you described.
Also, what other health problems do you have, such as kidney stones or osteoporosis? I see that you have had your thyroid levels checked, but the parathyroid are different glands, located near the thyroid. Hypoparathyroidism can also cause tremors, etc. If your doctor has not checked your PTH and calcium levels (together), this should be done as well. It would be good to be seen by an endocrinologist if you haven't seen one already.
I would like to hear from you again. Will you continue to post?
Hello @kmiller11205, I may have spoke about a gland incorrecty..If I did, the Thalamus, in the brain was reference to study for some movement problems. Also, google types of movement disorders, Essential movements, Wilsons, intention, non intention, MS, gravis, taxia, etc. Sorry to throw you off, if Idid.
To se your mind,, google Classificrion of tremors and causes (Thalamic especially)
Check the side effects of all drugs you are on. If you are on a lot of meds. they could be clashing with each other. Or one may have a side effect of tremors.
Hi, @kmiller11205 - just wanted to touch base and see how it's going with the constant body vibrating or pulsating you talked about?
