Appears your doctor forgot his place. The doctor seems to ignore who is working for who and needs a not so subtle reminder. I wouldn't go to a doctor who thinks they have Carte Blanche over my care. My doctor was like that but now she’ll ask me before writing a prescription or ordering a test or an injection etc. Now she knows that she can't dictate me and I can't dictate her. We respect each other and our opinions. But that's not to say we didn't have some knockdown drag-outs getting to where we are today.
You have some choices here, accept him as is, change doctors or set him straight;
if you try this chances are he may suggest you find a new doctor.
