@lisalucier

So, @elwooodsdad - for you, the side effects and/or the symptom relief have gone better with the fluoxetine (Prozac) than with the vortioxetine (Brintellix), is that correct?

@kj57, I think you mentioned in another thread that you had some eyesight symptoms from vortioxetine (Brintellix)? Will you share more about what happened with your eyes?

@aliali and @bellabobby - are you taking vortioxetine (Brintellix) currently? If so, how is that going?

I am glad to share my experience with Brintellix here! I no longer take Brintellix; I switched to Cipralex many months ago. Brintellix side effects were unbearable to me: very acute headache; tough nausea; increased depressive symptoms; suicidal thoughts especially to escape the depressive symptoms!
The question is did Brintellix elevate my mood and ease my depression? I would say YES. The increased depressive symptoms due to the medication remain for many hours after taking it, so I decided to take it at bedtime to escape such symptoms. When I wake up I feel much better.

I have taken trintellix for five years. A miracle drug for me. No side effects. Began to work very quickly. After 5 years, however, it doesn't seem as effective.
