@@tmmmrlts- It sounds like the doctor was making a general statement, not just in regard to your husband. I don't know what is in store for you for the next few months, I'm sorry.
Let me ask you a couple of questions. How did you get your husband out of the house to the doctor's? If he's not completely bed ridden than perhaps it's not your husband's time.

He can still walk and my mom and dad both died of copd. My mom was 69 and not bed ridden until the last week of hers. My dad was 84 and he wasn't bedridden either he could walk with a walker. Until he went to the hospital.
