Another cause of headaches that might get overlooked could be If you have any alignment issues with your jaw, neck and spine that cause muscle spasms as a source of headaches. These are in specific places like the back or side of your head and you would be able to find a tender muscle that hurts to press on. I had an old whiplash injury and had surgery at Mayo a couple years ago. I have been having headaches for years because of muscle tension in my neck, and I also have Thoracic Outlet Syndrome that contributes. Physical therapy helps if it is a muscle or alignment problem.
