Spinal compression fracture: What helps with the pain?
I've been living with an compression fracture nearly five years, I have had numerous injections in the back from 3 different pain clinics including Mayo Clinic. Is anyone else living with this pain? Nothing has helped. I take Tramadol once a day, does not help much, if I take more I feel nauseous and can't eat. Has anyone found something to help with pain?

I have fractures at T11 and T12. I ordered a great thoracic brace from Amazon. It’s very comfortable and supportive. It can be worn under my top or over. I still wear it occasionally.
@rondello Your welcome glad I can help
I would be interested in more information about your brace, do you need someone else to put it on or can you do it yourself? Do you know what it is called or can you supply me with any information so that I can check it out. So many I've seen look very uncomfortable they wrap around under the armpit.
@rondello My brace is for my L3 fracture so it just raps around you but what I like about it it reflects your on body heat back in ,when I take it off I'm sweaty so it works
@rondella... My brace is a TORUS-GROUP Comfort Posture - 100% cotton lining. Brace outer layer is 73% poly, 27% latex. Price, $50 @ Amazon. It does wrap under arm BUT there’s a soft piece that slides under arm to prevent discomfort and chaffing. I feel no discomfort at all. Hopefully - it will work as well for you. Ps. Be mindful of size. I had to return mine for proper sizing.
Thank you so much for this information. I had seen braces like this on the internet, but imagined them to be so uncomfortable, I am glad to find out differently. I will check into it. Happy New Year to you.
You’re most welcome. Hoping the brace works as well for you. Happy New Year to you!
I hope your brace works also. My daughter has a 37 degree angle in her spine at 13 years old and the brace has knocked it down to 28 degrees in 6 months. So I really have high hopes that it works. Good luck and please let us know what happens
But I forgot to tell you. Yes you will have a little bit of discomfort but if you are in a lot of pain it is not normal so go back to your doctor. If everything's fine don't worry about it
I have a fracture at T6 and am quite disabled due to pain. Not getting any help despite many visits to medical professionals
