@gaylea1 You sure have had a few complications, but overall it sounds like things are going to be good. Do they feel the diabetes will go away when your prednisone dosage gets reduced? I have mild diabetes, no medications, but when my prednisone dose was high, initially, I had to use insulin for a while.
Looking forward to hearing that you are back on your feet, discharged from the hospital, and the problems are resolved,

I also had post transplant diabetes, and took insulin for a while. I never had any indication of diabetes before that, and so it really was a worrisome experience for me until it was explained. As my prednisone levels were lowered, the insulin was no longer needed. I remember that I also had to check my levels with the finger prick for a while after I was home.
