@contentandwell They never really explained how the artery splintered. I know that it is doing well now. I am stiĺl in hospital with new developments. The back to back surgery has left me with pneumonia. We are working on that with meds and I walk and get around. Sit up most of the time. And now just found that i have type 2 diabetes due to the prednisone and various steroids. I am overehelmed and confused. Guess I'll be here a bit longer.

@gaylea1 Wow, this is not how you wanted to be gifted at this time of year [or any time of year!]. I hope that things settle down for you soon, that the meds get worked out.

Ugh! Really?!! Well then I guess we will refocus... it is good you got the artery under control and that your pain is being closely monitored. Rosemary is right...no one's story is the same. It's hopeful that the DOCS are learning something new from each of us..

@gaylea1 You sure have had a few complications, but overall it sounds like things are going to be good. Do they feel the diabetes will go away when your prednisone dosage gets reduced? I have mild diabetes, no medications, but when my prednisone dose was high, initially, I had to use insulin for a while.
Looking forward to hearing that you are back on your feet, discharged from the hospital, and the problems are resolved,
JK
