@rosemaryinez

I was recently diagnosed with Serrated Polyposis Syndrome and will be undergoing colonoscopies and polyp removal at 6-mo intervals for the next year. Hoping I can get to annual and not have to have my colon removed. I would be interested to hear if anyone on this thread have experience with this disease and if lifestyle changes, supplements, have had any positive effects. Any positive and hopeful stories would be appreciated.

Hello, I adopted a mostly plant based diet after my SPS diagnosis in 2015, take Turmeric and multi vitamins, and walk 3-4 times per week. My polyp count was only 6 at the last annual scope. Another benefit was I lost some excess pounds so I think my overall health has improved with these lifestyle changes. The most important thing is I still have my colon!!

Hi @rosemaryinez, I want to add my welcome. Thank you @countrygirlusa for your positive story and that you were able to keep your colon and improve your health. That will surely be encouraging for Rosemary.

Rosemary, when is your next colonoscopy? Have you experienced any delays in treatment due to COVID?
