hypermobility and si joint dysfuntion, maybe something else?

Posted by samigrace08 @samigrace08, Dec 16, 2018

Hi everyone. I have hypermobility and I have subluxated my si joints many times. but this last time I felt a giant pop when it happened, and there has been severe pain and very slight bruising and a little swelling. I am afraid that I may have possibly got a stress fracture due to repetitive exercise and this injury has just made the pain worse. I also have pain in my buttock and groin and am extremely tender to the touch since the loud pop in my low back. If anybody has any ideas please let me know. And I am going to a physical therapist this week to try and help. Thanks

Sorry you're having so many issues. I also do. One of my knees is very
swollen. Does anyone know how to get the swelling down?

@samigrace08 sorry to hear about that pop sounds like you should see your Dr to get an xray .You probably did the wrong kind of exercise for your back just thinking that is what caused the pop.Put some ice on it to get swelling down.

Hello @samigrace08, like @lioness said, it may be best if you seek medical advice regarding your "pop" sound and pain. I am not a medical professional, but amy quite familiar with internal injuries. A popping sound, followed by quick bruising and swelling is a good indication of some sort of physical injury that may not be wise to ignore. While you weigh your options and whether or not you want to seek medical advice, you may also find this conversation on SI joints of interest, https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/sacroiliac-joint-pain-and-my-introduction/.

@samigrace08, how long ago did you feel the pop and the pain?
