My heart goes out to you. I also went through 4 bouts of Cdiff in 2018. During my 3rd bout, I also did the Vanco taper off for 6 weeks. Three weeks after finishing it, I had my 4th bout. What worked for me was Dificid (fidaxamycin). It's expensive and my insurance wouldn't approve it until I had tried Vancomycin. Even then, the co-pay was high. BUT IT WORKED. My gastroenterologist also suggested I take Florastor every day. I've not been as faithful about taking that this past year. But i did take it every day for a year after my last bout of Cdiff.
