What happens after C.Difficile?

Please see my other posts about this. It is not just taking antibiotics but also preventing relapses through eating proper diet post antibiotics that does not produce inflammation or allows the bad bacteria to return. I took four rounds of antibiotics and it was not until I changed my diet that I stopped relapsing. Can’t emphasize this enough. Since I changed my diet, I have gained seven of the twenty pounds I lost in three months and (knock on wood) have not experienced diarrhea in twenty two days. I could see improvement within a week of starting to work with a nutritionist. I was clueless and so was my GI doctor.

By the way, Clindymycin was the antibiotic that basically destroyed my intestinal flora. I would caution everyone to read about it before they take it.

Hello, I know this is a comment to an older post but what was the diet? Would you give examples of food choices? I am attempting to do the same after a diagnosis. Thank you very much.

Please tell me about your diet.

What exactly did you cut out of your usual diet. I also had c-diff. Took the antibiotics for 17 days and then tested negative. That was back in April. Now I have achalasia type 111, but no c-diff has not returned. I have cut out sugar as much as I can. No coffee. But of course I'm following what I should be eating for the achalasia type 111.

Please share how you changed your diet.
