I was fortunate to find someone who works with digestive disorders at a major medical center. Nobody knows what your body can tolerate until you try it in very small amounts for at least three days. That’s how we do it. What works for one person may be a no no for someone else. I can have maple syrup but no honey. Go figure! Idea of Low FODMAP is that it is strict and restrictive at first but you gradually add foods to the diet. Not meant to stay restrictive forever. I am adding one to two new foods now per week.

I understand the Low Fodmap diet regimen. Unfortunately, I have still not been able to start adding foods because I am not symptom free.

The four nutritionists I met with also worked at major medical centers. If you can have maple syrup, it's high doubtful you have fm.
