Hi, @jakeboger , walk, do not run to a really well trained specialist in orthopedic injuries. Can I assume you already have a specialist, seeing as how you run marathons? This is Mamacita, and I am everyone's "Jewish Mother" because I dig in for the long haul, I don't give up until there are answers, and will do everything in my power to help. The reason your situation caught my eye is that my daughter had an injury when she was in the Army. The doctors said it was a sprain. But it was not. It was a break. And she has paid for it ever since. There is not much else that can be done for her as it stands now. That's why I say, walk, don't run to your nearest expert. Let them tell you what is going on.
