Hi @padovani, welcome to Connect.
I don't recall any members talking about proton beam therapy specifically related to liver cancer. However several have mentioned it in the Brain Tumor group as well as related to prostate cancer and other cancers. @cayandray and @sheilazejdlik shared their experiences in these 2 discussions:
- Proton Therapy travel and recommendation https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/proton-therapy-travel-and-recommendation/
- My experience with proton beam therapy & breast cancer https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/breast-cancer-diagnosis-in-february-2016/
Additionally, you can connect with @gene1234 @japv2001 @tinasantos and others talking about liver cancer here:

Padovani, are you getting proton beam alone or along with other treatments like surgery, chemo or immunotherapy?
Just proton - start today - excited, nervous, love my team, grateful
How are you doing, @padovani? When you get a chance, I'd love to get an update.
I am fine as of today after my second treatment. Great team, I am told any side effects will be a week or twovaway. First chat with my docs later today
I am four months out now. AFP down from 1000 to 9 (almost normal), no clearly active cancer cells on MRI. Really good progress I think as my Y90 treatment resulted in minor improvement at three moths bu back to starting gate at six. I am optimistic and had no side effects to speak of from treatment. Go Mayo! Go Arizona Hepatology!
Collen - thanks for the recommendations. I think I have joined the HCC group but can't figure out how to create a new post so I can share my positive Mayo experience on that topic. Can you help? padovani
