Thank YOU for understanding! I just ask if people find things that work, they share their findings with other people. You never know whose life you may change for the better! Sometimes people just need to know someone has been there before, someone who “gets it”, someone who can give them hope. My condition was not common and I was so very grateful to the few people who were able to comprehend what I was going through.
For some, painful memories are best swept under the rug. I understand that, too. Sometimes I’d like to forget what I went through, because it lasted many years and involved being not believed by some health care professionals, accused of exaggerating my pain, fighting with my insurance company, etc. It does bring up bad memories but I know other people in my (former) situation may not have the knowledge I (now) have and think sharing that is more valuable than my anxiety.
