I have been taking Ethambutol, Azithromycin and Rifampin for a year now. Been taking Ethambutol and Azithromycin after dinner and Rifampin before bedtime. Recently tho I get chills at night. So starting last week Zi took Ethambutol and Azithromycin after breakfast and Rifampin an hour before dinner, Based from your experience, what is the best time to take the big 3? Greatly appreciate your help, Thanks.
What I do now is taking Ethambutol and Azithromycin after breakfast of toast with peanut butter and coffee which I hope is okay and the Rifampin one hour before dinner. Hopefully this is okay and will prevent chills at night and headaches when I wake up.
@mai2019 Welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect, a place to give and get support. You are wondering what the best time is to take the big 3 medications?
You will notice that I moved your question to a previous discussion where members like @toni1132 @bluesplashgirl @poodledoc @heathert are already discussing this topic.
May I ask if you have to take all of the medications with food?
