Rash
I’m hoping someone can help us with this. My husband got a nerve block last summer. He had been suffering from a sharp pain in his left leg. Strong enough that it would cause him to fall to the ground. The nerve block stopped the leg pain. Approximately 2 weeks after the nerve block, he developed a rash on his arms and calves. It’s very symmetrical. Same on both sides of his body, nothing on face, neck or torso. He was diagnosed with dermatitis, but nothing seems to get rid of it. He also has several lung nodules. I’ve done research on my own and saw a case where a man had lung nodules and once they were removed the rash went away. I also wonder if it’s related to the nerve block he had in his leg and the rash starting right after that. It just seems very odd to me that it’s only on these areas of his body and it started right after the nerve block. He’s had numerous allergy tests, creams, wet wraps and pills. Nothing gets rid of it. Has anyone experienced anything like this? We’re very frustrated.

@ gardeningjunkie - I will write a longer explanation later, but tomorrow we are going to try desensitizing his body. I have little hope that will work, but anything is worth trying at this point.
Barbarn- not sure what desensitizing means. Could you explain? I belong to a blogging group about eczema on the Inspire site and have never heard of any desensitizing treatment for a true allergy, it is incurable. Only contact avoidance can remove symptoms permanently. But we are always searching for new treatments or meds or diets to help relieve our inflammation so please share!
Most of us experiment with diet to reduce eczema issues with symptoms like rash, itching, burning, sensitive skin and such, and that is called detoxing But if a metal is the cause then a dietary change would not help, unless for example he had iron issues and which could be in his diet.
@gardeningjunkie - it's chiropractic. Been there and done that before with no results, but son-in-law swears it has helped his rash, and granddaughter is able to have dairy now after rx, so we'll see. He did the "true" test a few years ago, but the one he did last week was specific for joint replacement - done by same allergist. I do think there is more to the chiropractic rx than just hocus-pocus, but how much? We didn't have the rx today as planned since he also has eye problems and a new symptoms developed last evening which took priority. (We live in mountain town in CO - not one dr in town where we live.) I also belong to the Inspire group, been to many dermatologists, allergists, and decided you have to try lots of things on your own.
I was brought up never to believe in chiropractors yet 30 years ago had 3 treatments, one week apart for sciatica pain which I had been living with for 2 years. It worked and it still hasn't returned.
Could this be shingles? You don't mention that it's painful, but people have different severity and tolerances to discomfort.
