Hi chrissyp. I am on month 13 with Tymlos after a compression fracture of my L4. I have many allergies and was initially prescribed Forteo. After ten days on Forteo I had an allergic reaction. The doctor then prescribed Tymlos. I am doing well on Tymlos. I have experienced some fatigue as a side effect, but am used to it now. I know from experience how scary it is to consider a new drug. So far, so good for me. Hopefully you will do well with Tymlos.

Just finishing my first week of Tymlos - really no side effects as of yet. I am curious if you are only doing shots in the abdomen. I've heard mixed advise. My doctor's NP who gave me the shot demonstration said it didn't matter where I did the shot. I know someone from another major medical institution whose doctor said abdomen only because it entered the system faster. Were you told abdomen or anywhere (mostly abdomen or inner thigh for self-injection - through she said someone could give it to me in my arm as well).
