I had a cryo-ablation in February for a fib. The cryogenic-ablation is a new technique where they “freeze” the electrical circuitry rather than use heat. My electro-physicist indicated they had a high success rate using this method. I don’t know if that is what you had. And they took me off Eliquis.

Thanks. Never heard of it. Good to know if my ablation is not successful....really want to be off blood thinner

I had the burning but was the first for a new piece of equipment at Mayo.

@nightwalker18 The research I did showed that cryo-ablation was not as successful as RF ablation for PVI ablation. Please advise.
