No effects from THC

Posted by thevoice @thevoice, Oct 2, 2018

Does anyone knowIf there is a medical condition that doesn’t allow you to feel the affects of THC. I ask because I got out of the military after two bad joint surgeries and I tried THC by keeping smoking flower honey and edibles. And I have yet to feel any effects.

@sueinoregon You know that Vicodin and Norco have the same ingredients, right? I think Norco is generic. @thevoice I think sometimes seeking a pain management clinic is the best we can do for ourselves

@ckeys if you read my later post I said they along with Percodan are all in the same class but our bodies are different what works for one may not for another and Vicodan worked for me ,Norco didn't

Norco to me is like taking an aspirin. Our pains are different. At one time I broke my cheek bone and Norco did work. Who knows

@oregongirl Norco and Vicodin can come in different strengths—perhaps your Norco was a 5/325 and your Vicodin was 10/325? It’s also possible that there is some slight differences in the fillers that make it work better/worse. I just think it’s important to really understand the meds we take.

@lioness I’ve no doubt you know what works for you, but they are not “all the same thing.” Tramadol, Darvon, morphine, Vicodin, and many others are all very different. Some drugs are sold under different names but are the same (ultra Vs tramadol and Vicodin vs Norco are same basic drugs made by different manufacturers). Despite being the “same” they do come different strengths and some come in extended release.

It’s funny because I have a off brand NORCO so is it even worse haha. But morphene pills did absolutely nothing for me. But the whole point of this thread was to try to find out if I have some health aspect that doesn’t allow me to smoke weed. I would rather take no pills and smoke like most people here in Alaska do. But it’s done nothing for me. But it seems like no one knows lol. Hopefully when they burn my nerves it will help and I won’t need anything.

@@thevoice OH my goodness, are you really having your nerves burned off? They want to do that to my neck and lower back. They assured me the nerves would come back. I don't feel confident of that and chose to pass on the nerve burning. My doctor had me on Tramdol which I thought did nothing. But now that she has change it to Hydrocodone, I find that the Tramadol might have worked best. Even tho my son thinks tramadol is like asprin. He has terrible back issues. I am in so much pain most of the time. I am learning to force myself thru it all. I am in the process of relocating and it is not easy. When I arrive at my new housing, I am going to stay at a hotel for two nights just to rest. I know me. If there are boxes, I will open and start to put away.
