Hello, @darcys, and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry to hear you had to go through this experience with bleeding during menopause. You were wise to go see the nurse practitioner and have it checked out.

Here is an article from Mayo Clinic on the exact topic of bleeding after menopause: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/menopause/expert-answers/bleeding-after-menopause/faq-20058396

I thought you might like to meet some of our members who have talked about menopause, like @texasduchess @chamisa @youngsally @dschoening @capausz, in hopes they might have some information for you on their experiences and offer insights related to your bleeding incident. @hopeful33250 and @contentandwell may also have some thoughts for you.

Did the nurse practitioner suggest any next steps?

The nurse practitioner suggested I have my cervix checked. I haven't done this yet. Wanted to see what others did who have had same experience. Thanks for article @lisalucier

@lisalucier @darcys I really don't have anything to contribute, my menopause was late but easy. The only real problem was the hot flashes. I was working in an office with young people and suddenly I would turn scarlet and start sweating profusely. Embarrassing to say the least. I can't believe it, but now I have hot flashes/night sweats again due to the immunosuppressants. UGH.
