Hi everyone, I am an Uber driver. I think that Uber is a really good way to get around to grocery shopping, doctor offices, etc. When I have riders that need help carrying groceries I always take the groceries up to the door. There are other people that do doordash and take restaurant meals to people. There are laundry services that will pick up your laundry. There are people that can clean your house and take care of your lawn. You can order groceries delivered. Personally I think its good to use relatives and friends for emotional support and not much more. Just talking and spending time is really important. But I don't see the point of having people take off work to help with housework. I would rather just give money to pay for the housework than take off work, not get paid, and then do the housework for a relative myself. It would be bad for my job. And I just can't do as good a job as people that do it as work. I am terrible at housekeeping and I don't have the equipment. But with Uber driving I have the car, my car is inspected, and I really know the streets and can get people there fast. So that's my input. My caregiver experience is to my developmentally disabled child who is now 27 years old. He needed so much help that I always needed professionals to help. I would have burned my family out to ask them to help me. We always went to a hotel when we were visiting relatives. We never stayed in anybody's house because it would have been too much. I always looked for a hotel with pool. That way we could leave, go back to hotel, and take kids swimming. That's what we did.

I love using Uber. For over a year now. I have met so many great drivers.
