Stem cell therapy

Posted by kdukes52 @kdukes52, Sep 8, 2018

Has anyone on here tried stem cell therapy for their hip joint that is bone on bone? I’ve been to Dr Blecher at Regenex in Van Nuys. I’m trying to collect as much information as I can to make a decision.

My understanding about stem cell therapy is that success depends on both, the purity of the stem cell extract and the accuracy of the doctor to hit the spot where the stem cell need to do the repair. Other lesser arguments I hear is that it is nproven science etc. WQell the only way to find out ids to try it if the right procedure is done then the expected resuolt should be a mitigation of the symptom.

I am glad that you and Mayo clinic opened up this forum to express patient opinions which otherwise be invested into the silence of doctors waiting room hall: no one shares opinions.

I MUST Congratulate Mayo for this excellent forum and if their doctors get the benefit of judicious sinthetizations of the patient's opinions it is my hope that this source will become part of non-clinical trial medical outcome, perhaps a fertil lab for both aspiring, academic and seasoned MDs to use as a source of both experimental and nonexperimental medical outcomes.. My father, a Salvadoran, admired, back in the late years 40's the prowess of Mayo Clinic MDs. I still do w/o any MD knowledge.

It seems quite a few of the aging basketball and football stars have tried the stemcell therapy and has given them an extra few years of professional level sports! Of course you are unlikely to hear of ones that done't work I guess. I am keen to get done for my knees - unfortunately not available in Australia yet either.

hello kdukes, my stem cell was performed at Mayo clinic, Bone Marrow transplant injection, and I assume the Dr. was adept at injecting, but for my hip, there was minimal effects, plus $4500. is a lot of money to "just try it", tho I think that procedure is more expensive at other providers. I did have High Hopes. martha
