@jbarb, you mention that you have tried pain meds with no help. If you don't mind sharing, are you working with a medical professional to try out different treatment options?

I just injected myself with Avomig yesterday. It is a preventive method. Once a month shot. This has just come out this year. Very expensive. Insurance doesn't cover it. My doctor filled out the paperwork to send to the manufacural. Upon refusal by my iinurance they contacted me and I got it in a couple of days. It is refrigerated. Again, this is a preventative not a pain relief med. It is supposed to lessen the frequency of migraines.
