Facial Hair on Women: How do you deal with it?
I have a problem with facial hair. Have had no success finding a solution with doctors and am not able to afford electrolysis etc. Does anyone have
ideas to deal with this? Would be very appreciative for input.
Thanks!

@lisalucie- I use NAIR. I know that it stinks. My skin is too sensitive on my upper lift and chin to wax them, but I use to. I also wax my own eyebrows. Does anyone else use NAIR?
@merpreb I used NAIR long time ago thanks for reminder I think I should go back to it . I shave right now but they grow back in stiff .
Using an epilator for facial hair removal doesn't hurt except a tiny bit, like tweezing really, when it grabs a black hair.. but it's well worth any little twinges because it really does clean up those little whiskers... Check them out on Amazon and other sites... WalMart has them too.. My husband put new batteries in my little $10 one and it works like brand new again! I thought I was going to have to replace it with a more expensive one, but this one does the job well once again... They range in price from around $10 on up to over a hundred or more.. And who needs all the different attachments they add to run the price up! I use plain ole Apricot Scrub for exfoliation.. works great! My mother in law used an electric shaver, but I don't like the blunt ends that leaves when the hair grows...
Lioness, get yourself an EPILATOR... easy to use and you'll love it, I think...
@hotfooted Is this the brand name ? I tried one I bought online didn't work very well but then I had been using a razor for so long the hair was tough I think I will look into it at Walgreens have to go there today if not I,ll go to Walmart. Thanks have a good day
I used Avon Skin So Soft facial hair remover for sensitive skin and it hardly has any scent at all.
How often do you use it?
Hi tennbee.. Just use it when you feel any hairs or fuzz on your face.. There is no set time for it.. and it doesn't irritate the skin for me.. If you have more of the stronger black hairs, you might want a wider plucking area on your epilator.. which usually indicates slightly more expensive model, I guess.. My black hairs are random, and the little one works for me.. As I said before, it doesn't hurt.. just feels like using tweezers.. but is way more efficient. Let us know what you try and how well it works for you please...
@tazscott For a while I went to a woman who removed them via electrolysis. It didn’t hurt and is supposed to be permanent. The only downside is cost. I stopped going after about 7 treatments.

I agree with you about electrolysis.. Expensive and you can spend a fortune and still have fuzzies.. I did some of that, too, sad to say... Plus, a friend of mine was left with lots of tiny dimples in her chin from electrolysis.. The Epilators do the job so much better, altho you do have to keep using them.. somewhat like shaving, but with no stubble left behind..
