Brenda I have only been diagnosed with it in my lungs. However we are looking into the possibility it is in my sinuses as well. I had several dental implants in 2015. I have never been so sick or had such horrible sinus issues/infections including debilitating migraines since those implants. My entire family is convinced my lung MAC is from my frequent invasive dental surgeries over time. I will let you know. Irene

@macjane May I ask what you did about those problem implants? I have seven. They all throb periodically, but one has throbbed continually since day one. If I knew then what I know now ... hindsight's a great thing.

@windwalkerMy response to that would be, why? When you smile would anyone notice a space? If you are vain then go ahead, but I would not recommend titanium. As Katherine would have said “do your due diligence.” And, they are pricey! My insurance didn’t cover any of it, and MAC was my “reimbursement.” I do believe I had it prior to the implants though due to my losing weight. An angry kindergarten friend had knocked my front teeth out, and the dental repairs for that were invasive as well. One molar ain’t so bad! I am very vain! Those TV aids about getting your smile back are accurate!
I have been missing one molar for over 40 years. Since it does not affect chewing much, I have no plans to replace it. I have heard problems with tooth implants.

@ling123 One missing molar I could live with. I had two bottom right pulled within 5 months of each other. I have to chew on one side which is ok I guess unless something goes wrong on that side. Sad part is, I don't think either of my molars needed to come out, I think the TMJ had my tooth roots inflamed. I feel this way because I still had TMJ going on and it then felt like the remaining teeth needed to come out. The pain was so bad, I think I might have agreed to let them pull them all out! (And I don't even have bad teeth)
That sucks, @windwalker Terri. But I'm not sure why it would make your tooth roots inflamed. I thought this was inflamation of the jaw bones. Maybe I'm wrong.
@ling123 TMJ causes the jaw muscle to clench your teeth and grind them when you sleep. That constant pressure affects how the roots of teeth feel.
@irene5 Hi Irene. I have TWO molars side by side removed 5 months apart. I now have no molars to chew on that side with. I am ok with chewing on only one side. I would just have to hope and pray the other side doesn't go.
