@johnhans - thanks for sharing your experience with aphasia as a medication side effect and how it cleared up once you stopped taking the topiramate.

@jakedduck1 - will you share more about your anomic aphasia and how that impacts you?

@12271997 - how is the anomia you mentioned?

@decarlo7 - how are things going with the word recall you were experiencing? What did your doctor say about this?

Hi Lisa,
My aphasia is mild but when you can’t think of words it’s extremely frustrating whether speaking or writing. Concentration is off too. I rarely have a problem recognizing items but it has happened. I believe these issues began after my first Episode of Status Epilepticus and are related to the length of my seizures and the hundreds of thousands of Anticonvulsants I’ve taken.
I’m believed to have had a stroke eons ago but I disagree. I feel any lesions or shadows on my brain MRI’s and Functional MRI’s are from my Status
and are hotly debated between my docs and myself.
