Hi, @mbabkk -- this is interesting information about the difference between over-the-counter melatonin and circadin, a prolonged-release melatonin, and how it's worked for you.

I have also included your post in our Sleep Health group, in addition to the Mental Health group where you posted, as I thought members there might be interested.

Also, some members who've talked about melatonin specifically might be like to hear about this and talk to you about your experiences, like @lpole, @amberpep @jmanon @elsa @lorena1egas @sallyharper @efexfreeforever @nacc @kdoconnell2003 @lusia @lioness @traveller1964 @lynnydave12. @travelgirl, @contentandwell and @sandytoes14 may also have some thoughts on this.

@mbabkk -- how do you feel in the morning when you wake up after having taken the prolonged-release melatonin -- the circadin? .

@lisalucier @mbabkk I wish I had seen this before my doctor appointment last week. I would definitely have brought it up.

Glad if I could be of help - I think melatonin is such a generic issue that most doctors do not see the difference in the much more expensive slow release but my Mayo Clinic neurologist knows the difference
