Hi @donnalee48 and welcome to Connect.
I'm tagging fellow members, @egayle187 @lmh7 @windwalker @suzie2017 and @alleycatkate, who have had a bronchoscopy in the past. I can imagine that you are feeling anxious about the procedure. It is difficult to be calm, especially when you don't know what to expect.

Donna, may I ask why you are getting a bronchoscopy done?

Hi Colleen, my husband had a bronchoscope on 5/15/18 in Sebring, FL. He has many problems and is in a weak condition but he made out very well. He was completely out and when he woke up his throat wasn’t even sore. Another good thing about the scope procedure is that they can do biopsies and washings to check out areas that are questionnable. It is not a painful procedure. My husband went home about 2 hours after the test. Good luck. I am sure everything will go well for you.
